The initial ideation for this came from Josephines idea about being able to roast a single peanut or cooking a very small item.
We expanded on this idea and thought about how iPhones get really hot with prolonged usage. We imagined a tiny dinner for 2 on the back of the phone with a stove in the middle so we could cook a tiny meal for 2.

Using the length of a standard iPhone 12, we settled on a 6.5” x 6.5” square featuring a stove in the middle and a dining sets on either side.
The square would open up on the back of the phone and would leverage the magnet on the back to keep the “dining table” from moving around.

Eating with a loved one is something that many of us do all the time. Being able to do this virtually is something that happens

After some further thought we realized that the idea of not having a phone during a cute meal like that would be disappointing. We felt like most people would want to take pictures of it (using their phone). This then turned back into more of an accessory. So we thought since this is supposed to be a phone add-on, it would be nicer if the phone was more visible and more in the foreground when it was being used.

We had a couple of things left to do to complete our design. This involved finishing up the electronics, getting in our tiny furniture and finishing.
