As part of an upcoming lamp design I think it would be quite interesting to try and create a flower that has the capability to detect the amount of bend on it.
This is a fun little goober with multiple water shooting holes. I think it could be cool to somehow move those with an arduino and have them point to arbitrary things.
I’m always fascinated by this, like why is my first instinct to touch these blades with my fingers. It makes me thing of being able to make fan blades out of something that may not necessarily hurt us/or a child if they touch it. Even thinking about something more eco friendly that allows us to reuse blades maybe per season.
Bubble Pop. These could be a great tactile replacement to LEDs. Where a user is vision impaired, it could be interesting to use these in a way that provides tactile feedback for a binary on off state.
These dryer balls were pokey but also soft.. It feels like it could be a multidirectional all terrain wheel. Even the slight deformation of it seemed like it could be an well performing wheel for a bumpy ride.
These octopi sink to the bottom of the pool. I think the tentacles are meant to allow for an easy way to grasp at them. Can those be stuck onto objects that are heavy to grasp for allow to multiple arms to grab it.
An extendable cleaning tool. A fully automated microfiber that is flexible enough could clean any crevasse. I also wonder about cleaning leaves or other slightly fragile materials
These are all fake plants, you can’t necessarily tell they’re real just from looking at them but up close you can. What parts of the plant can be faked and what parts can be real. Is there some kind of a plant plastic hybrid that can decompose plastic but embed it into its body.
I love Velcro. It’s usefulness knows no bounds. How can you get differing strength levels of Velcro. Is there a way to somehow dynamically adjust the number of loops on it so it becomes easier to take off ?
