My initial designs here took on a bunch of different forms. I started off with a lot of simple shapes and a black and white design to try and fit this monochrome look. I looked at different typefaces I liked and then tried to modify it to something that looked appealing to me. Although I didn't end up liking the ultimate feel of them. They felt very boring and corporate to me.
After that I found a typeface that I really ended up liking
I love the color schemes that ended up coming out of this exercise.
My inspiration for the logos came from looking at old fruit crate labels. There's something about the playfulness and color combinations here that makes it really fun to look at.
The color combinations here with the blue and orange are such stark opposing colors but manage to leave an impression on the viewer.
Likewise with the Nanette logo, the green/purple/white combo here works so well with the red and has a capturing feel to it.
