These are very pretty, I love the way the light really softly leaves the fabric as if to say “Hey, I’m inside, but don’t worry, I like it here.”

Interior Timelapse

jsdanijdkn.mov

One of the things I realized when starting this assignment was I didn’t really know how long an iPhone timelapse is. After some light googling I found this

iPhone time lapse calculator | Hustl: the time-lapse & speedpaint app

Looking at this it seems like the iPhone does something interesting when trying to create a timelapse.

After these 10 minutes, it doubles the interval (the amount seconds it waits between taking every shot) and deletes half of the already taken images, so it’s as if it had been recording at this new interval since the beginning.

Some points of note -

  1. A couple of notifications meant that my phone would move a little bit to the sides.
  2. The room switched between feeling cool and warm and I was wondering why it did that during midday but then realized that I had left my lamp on when leaving. My lamp is pretty warm and so you can see the effect of it in the room in the evening.
  3. It takes 3 seconds of timelapse time for it to go from reasonably bright outside to night time.
